Privacy and Confidentiality​

For proper support, it is necessary that we, as your therapists, maintain a client file. Privacy is therefore very important to us, and we do our best to ensure it. We handle your personal information with care and ensure that unauthorized persons do not have access to your data. As your therapists, we have sole access to the data in your file. We are bound by legal confidentiality obligations (professional secrecy), meaning that no confidential information will be shared with third parties without your explicit consent. Confidentiality will only be broken without your consent if you pose a significant risk of self-harm or harm to others, in which case we are legally obliged to notify the appropriate authorities.

The data from your file can also be used for the following purposes:

  • To inform other healthcare providers, for example, when therapy has been completed or when referring you to another practitioner. This only happens with your explicit permission.

  • For use in observation by another therapist, during our absence, or for anonymized use during peer evaluation.

Your contact information, such as email address and phone number, is used solely for the purpose of contacting you.

Client files are retained for 15 years, as required by Dutch law on treatment agreements.

Privacy Regarding Invoicing

The invoice you receive contains the information required for administrative and billing purposes, namely:

  • Your name

  • The date of the session

  • The name of the service rendered (e.g., “in-person session” or “online session”)

  • The cost of the consultation

Invoices will be stored for a duration of 7 years, in accordance with Dutch tax laws.

Communication

When you send an email via rcpnovaes@gmail.com, we ask for personal details relevant to your request (e.g., contact information). This enables us to process your questions and respond appropriately. Your data is stored on secure servers provided by PlexusPsyche and Wix.

Cookies

The website www.plexuspsyche.com/ uses functional cookies (text files placed on your computer) to ensure proper website functionality.

GDPR Compliance

At Plexus, we ensure full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to view, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, upon written request. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you previously provided regarding the use of your data.

The complaints procedure is fully in order in accordance with the requirements of the Quality Act, in accordance with the requirements of the Healthcare Providers Admission Act (Wtza)

Payment and Cancellation

Payment is currently accepted via bank transfer. Other payment methods can be discussed and arranged based on your needs and the available options.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are free of charge. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged.

Quality of Care

We ensure the quality of care we provide by:

  • Following the guidelines of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP)

  • Engaging in supervision and/or intervision

  • Continuously educating ourselves through books, articles, research, seminars, workshops, and training sessions
